Suzuki Motorcycle India recently launched two of its international off-road motorcycles, the Suzuki RM-Z450, and the RM-Z250, in India. According to the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer, the RM-Z450 is the first motocross motorcycle to feature the new Showa Balance Free Rear Cushion (BFRC) suspension. Both these motorcycles are available in Champion Yellow color theme at select Suzuki dealerships. Suzuki RM-Z450 comes with a price-tag of Rs 8,31,000 while the RM-Z250 costs Rs 7,10,000 and (both ex-showroom Delhi), respectively.
The RM-Z450 comes with a 449cc, single-cylinder,liquid-cooled,DOHCengine while the smaller RM-Z250 employs a 249cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine. Both motorcycles offer the Suzuki Holeshot Assist Control (S-HAC) with three selectable modes that provide the best launch option depending on the road conditions.

The bigger RM-Z250 gets the front Showa adjustable inverted forks. On the other hand, The motorcycle gets fully adjustable KYB inverted front forks and KYB gas-charged mono-shock at the rear. Suzuki India is bringing these motorcycles via theCBU(completely built unit) route. Hence, they carry such a high price. The RM-Z450 has acurb weightof 112 kg with aground clearanceof 330 mm.
However, these bikes are not road legal and you can use them for the off-road use only. This is because they do not have the headlights, tail lights, turn indicators and tires suitable for the public roads. Both the bikes will compete with the Kawasaki KX 250F (Rs 7,43,000) and the KX 450F (Rs 7,79,000) in India.

Similarly, power in Suzuki RM-Z250 comes from a 249cm3, 4-stroke, fuel injected, DOHC engine. Its compact and lightweight design assures bike’s winning performance. The bike comes withFuel Injection(FI) system. Suzuki designed it’s aluminum rims specifically to withstand the rugged racing environments that include Supercross, Motocross, and off-roading conditions.
Suzuki manufactures these motocross bikes with innovative technology and engineering that deliver the winning performance. It is a perfect combination of the lightweight, compact, and powerful motorcycle. The Suzuki RM-Z250 has a curb weight of 106 kg, and ground clearance of 345 mm.
